RCSUEX – Certainty Representation of Exploratory Success
Description: The oil exploration process involves, in its interpretation and decision phase, the analysis of a series of information and factors. Much of this information is subject to imperfections of various kinds (incomplete, imprecise and uncertain knowledge), which makes this process full of doubts and uncertainties. The first great doubt in exploratory activity concerns the question of wheer, in the space of a sedimentary basin, or in a block, can there be accumulations of oil? This project will consist of 6 steps: The first step will consist of Requirements Engineering, whose objective is the complete understanding of the problem. The second step will consist of the Prototyping and Analysis of Methods for the Treatment of Imperfection of Information, whose objective is to investigate the possible alternatives for the treatment of the problem of representation of the certainty of the exploratory process and the appropriate choice of techniques to approach the problem culminating with the conceptual model of the final system. These steps will then comprise the first phase of the work. The second stage will be composed of the following steps. In the third step, we will proceed to Modeling the Solution with the planning of the implementation stages and reports generated by the system. The fourth step will consist of building the Prototype itself, implementing the necessary tools and culminating with the integration of the tools. The fifth stage will be dedicated to the Validation and Testing of the prototype, starting with the planning of the tests and culminating with the tests of acceptance of the client, pilot installation and controlled field tests. The sixth and final stage will consist of procedures for deployment, training of users and preparation of final reports.
